The ADMS Solution, designed at IIT Kanpur, integrates multiple distribution management functions into a unified platform. It enables utilities to monitor, analyze, control, and optimize the entire power distribution network in real time, improving reliability, efficiency, and situational awareness.

As power grids evolve into smarter systems, there is a growing need for advanced tools that can manage increasing complexity, high penetration of renewables, and diverse load demands. Traditional systems lack real-time monitoring and optimization capabilities, making it difficult to ensure reliability and efficient operation.

By integrating SCADA, OMS, and DMS into a single platform, ADMS helps utilities make smarter decisions and enhance power reliability and quality.

The platform adopts industry-standard interfaces including CIM for modeling, ESB and IEC/OPC-UA protocols for data exchange, and integrates GIS capabilities using OpenStreetMap for advanced network visualization and management.
